SXTsq 5 ac is a compact outdoor 5 GHz unit with a built-in 16 dBi antenna. The small square case is far less conspicuous than a parabolic dish — which matters on façades where appearance counts.

16 dBi of gain suits medium distances: a link between buildings on a site, connecting the next building, subscriber equipment aimed at a base station within the district. A dish would be overkill for such tasks, while an ordinary access point falls short.

The 802.11ac standard leaves headroom for internet and video streams. All-weather case, PoE power, RouterOS management.

Frequently asked questions

Where does the SXTsq sit in the bridge lineup?
A compact client and short links up to a few kilometers: the flat body is almost invisible on a facade, and the price is the friendliest among ac models.
Is it suitable for connecting to a provider?
Yes, it is the classic CPE: the provider runs a base station, the SXTsq at the subscriber's side catches the signal and feeds internet into the house over cable.
What does a bridge of two SXTsq need?
Line of sight, PoE power on both ends and alignment by signal level — a bridge over a couple of kilometers goes up in a couple of hours.
