LHG XL 5 ac is 5 GHz subscriber equipment with a built-in 27 dBi parabolic antenna. Gain at that level puts it in the class of long-link solutions: with line of sight the link holds over tens of kilometers.
It is a working tool for ISPs and for companies with remote sites: connecting a plot outside the city, a quarry, a farm, a relay on high ground. The 802.11ac standard provides speed sufficient for internet and for video surveillance from the site.
The mesh antenna reduces wind load — important when mounting on a mast in open terrain. PoE powered, configured through RouterOS with signal-level tools for aiming the antenna.

How does the XL differ from the regular LHG 5?
A 27 dBi antenna versus 24.5: the enlarged grid gains signal on long distances and in difficult conditions — the choice for far links.
What is the real range?
Tens of kilometers with line of sight and proper alignment; at up to 10 km it holds stable hundreds of megabits.
Do I need a pair of these?
For a point-to-point bridge — yes, one per side. To connect to a provider's base station, one unit as a client is enough.
