Description
The Pixietech QSFP28 optical transceiver to the 100GBASE-SR4 standard delivers 100 Gbps inside the data center. Transmission runs over four pairs of multimode fiber through an MPO connector: four 25 Gbps lanes combine into a single hundred-gigabit stream. A reach of up to 100 meters over OM4 covers connections between racks and rows within the machine room.

Which patch cord is needed for the connection?
A 12-fiber MPO/MTP cord (eight fibers are used), type OM3 or OM4. We carry these patch cords in our catalog.
Can the module run on single-mode fiber?
No, SR4 is designed for multimode fiber. Single-mode links need LR4 modules.
What is the real reach?
Up to 70 m over OM3 and up to 100 m over OM4 — enough for connections inside the machine room.
